Assertion: When the initial velocity is zero; then the final velocity value depends upon the acceleration and time taken by the particle

Reason: The kinematical equation of motion relating  initial velocity, final velocity,  acceleration and time taken by the particle is v=u+at

Option: 1

The Assertion is true, But the reason is false

Option: 2

The reason is true, but the assertion is false

Option: 3

Both the assertion and reason are true, but the reason is not the correct explanation for the assertion

Option: 4

Both the assertion and reason are true, and the reason is  the correct explanation for the assertion

v=u+at

If initial velocity u=0 then

v=at

From this equation, it is clear that the final velocity’s value will depend upon the acceleration and time taken by the particle
