Given sinx=\frac{2}{3} , x lies in the first quadrant.

We know that the formula,

\sin ^2\Theta +\cos ^2\Theta =1

Implies cos^2x=1-sin^2x

                           =1-\frac{4}{9}

              cos^2x=\frac{5}{9}

Then, cosx=\frac{\sqrt{5}}{3}
