The value of 'g' is affected by many factors such as the mass of the earth, the distance from the center of the earth and the shape of the earth. The greater the mass of the Earth, the stronger the gravitational force and the higher the value of 'g'. Similarly, the closer the location is to the center of the Earth, the stronger the gravitational force and the higher the value of 'g'. Finally, as mentioned earlier, the shape of the Earth, which is not perfectly spherical, affects the value of "g".
