Cambium cells are of two types.

a. Fusiform Initials - They form tracheids, vessels, fibres and axial parenchyma in secondary xylem and sieve tubes, companion cells, fibres and axial parenchyma.

b. Ray initials - These are isodiametric and form ray parenchyma and vascular rays.
