For the monoatomic gas , C_V=\frac{3}{2} R \text { and } C_p=\frac{5}{2} R

For the diatomic gas, C_V=\frac{5}{2} R \text { and } C_p=\frac{7}{2} R

So, for 2 mol of the mixture,

\begin{aligned} & C_V=1 \times \frac{3}{2} R+1 \times \frac{5}{2} R=4 R \\ & C_p=1 \times \frac{5}{2} R+1 \times \frac{7}{2} R=6 R \end{aligned}

\therefore \gamma=\frac{C_P}{C_V}=\frac{6 R}{4 R}=1.5
