A large cylinder of helium filled at 2000 \mathrm{~mm} of \mathrm{Hg} had a small Orifice through which helium escaped into evacuated space at the rate of 6.4 moles/ hours. How long would it take for 10 mole of \mathrm{C O} to leak through a similar orolfice if the co were confined at the same pressure?

Option: 1

2.1 hour

Option: 2

4.2 hour

\mathrm{\frac{\partial_{H_{l}}}{r_{C O}}=\sqrt{\frac{M_{C O}}{M_{H e}}}=\sqrt{\frac{28}{4}}=2.65}

\mathrm{\Rightarrow P_{C O}=\frac{r_{H_{e}}}{2.65}=\frac{6.4}{2.65}=2.4 \mathrm{~mol} / \mathrm{hr} }

\mathrm{\Rightarrow t=\frac{10}{2.4} \approx 4.2 \text { hour (option b) } }
