Apparent depth (\mathrm{AI})=\frac{\mathrm{t}_{1}}{\mu_{1}}+\frac{\mathrm{t}_{2}}{\mu_{2}}

\therefore \frac{36}{7}=\frac{5}{5 / 3}+\frac{3}{\mu_{2}}

\therefore \frac{3}{\mu_{2}}=\frac{36}{7}-3=\frac{15}{7}

\therefore \mu_{2}=\frac{7}{5}=1.4
