Frequency of pth  overtone of organ pipe , 

             = \left ( P+1 \right )\frac{V}{2l}

And that of closed organ pipe is -

= \left ( 2P+1 \right )\frac{V}{4l}

Therefore, ratio of pth overtone open to close -

=\frac{(P+1)\frac{V}{2l}}{(2P+1)\frac{V}{4l}} = \frac{2(P+1))}{(2P+1)}
