Transverse wave speed of a string is given by ,

 v = \sqrt{\frac{T}{\mu }}

T_{1}= 2.06 \times 10^{4} N

Let velocity is   \frac{v}{2}  then, 

\frac{v}{v/2} = \sqrt{\frac{T_{1}}{T }}

T= \frac{T_{1}}{4} = \frac{2.06 \times 10^{4}}{4} = 5.15 \times 10^{3} N
