From the figure, \mathrm{ r_1=30^{\circ}}
Using snell's law,  \mathrm{i \times \sin i=\mu \sin r_1}

\mathrm{ \Rightarrow \sin \mathrm{i}=(\sqrt{2}) \times \sin 30^{\circ} \\ }

\mathrm{ \Rightarrow \mathrm{i}=45^{\circ} }
