Ascaris lumbricoides - Morphology and Life-Cycle -

  • It is an intestinal endoparasite in man, cats, horses, cattle etc. 
  • It appears slender, cylindrical with tapering ends. 
  • The infection caused by Ascaris is called ascariasis. 
  • It commonly occurs in children It impairs growth and can cause mental retardation.
