Glomerulus is a stack of capillaries formed by the branching of sensational arterioles. It's housed inside the Bowman’s capsule. The Bowman's capsule's podocytes (epithelial cells) are positioned in such a way that millisecond pores, also known as slit pores or filtration gashes, occur in the membrane. The slit pores are so small that nearly all the ingredients of the tube except the proteins pass into filtrate which gets collected in the lumen of the Bowman’s capsule. This helps in ultrafiltration of blood. Hence, the assertion statement is correct.
Urine conformation involves three processes- ultra filtration, reabsorption and stashing. Ultra filtration refers to the process of filtering of blood through nanosecond pores under high pressure. It's the first step in urine conformation which is carried out in three layers( endothelium of glomerular blood vessels, epithelium of Bowman’s capsule and the basement membrane between the two layers).
Hence, the reason statement is correct. still, the reason isn't the correct explanation of the assertion.
