 In ionic form:

 2Cl^-\rightarrow Cl_2+2e^- 

MnO_2+4H^{+} +2e^-\rightarrow Mn^{2+}+2H_2O

Adding we get

2Cl^-+MnO_2+4H^+\rightarrow Cl_2+Mn^{2+}+2H_2O

MnO_2+4HCl\rightarrow MnCl_2+Cl_2+H_2O

x=1, y=2, z=1   x+y+z=4
