Figure shows the \mathrm{P-V} diagram of a cyclic process. If \mathrm{d Q} is the heat energy supplied to the system, \mathrm{d U} is change in the internal energy of the system and \mathrm{d W} is the work done by the system, then which of the following relations is/are correct

Option: 1

\mathrm{d Q=d U-d W}

Option: 2

\mathrm{d U \geq 0}

Option: 3

\mathrm{d Q=d W}

Option: 4

In a cylic process, the system returns to its initial state. Hence the change in the internal energy \mathrm{dU}=0. Therefore, choice (b) is correct. From the first law of thermodynamics,

\mathrm{ \mathrm{dQ}=\mathrm{dU}+\mathrm{dW}=\mathrm{dW} \quad(\because \mathrm{dU}=0) }

Hence choice is (c) is also correct.
