The particl velocity is maximum at B and is given by

\frac{d y}{d t}=\left(V_p\right)_{\text {max }}=W A

Also, wave velocity is \frac{d x}{d t}=v=\frac{W}{K}

So slope, \frac{d y}{d x}=\frac{\left(V_P\right)_{\max }}{v}=k A
