During oogenesis, three haploid polar bodies or polocytes are formed. This occurs during the maturation phase, which is accompanied by meiotic division. After the first meiotic division, a small haploid polar body and a large haploid secondary oocyte are formed. Then, during the second meiotic division, the haploid secondary oocyte and the first polocyte each divide, resulting in a mature egg and a second polocyte being formed from the secondary oocyte, and two secondary polocytes being formed from the first polocyte. These polocytes eventually degenerate and are reabsorbed, while the mature egg becomes ready for fertilization. Thus, a total of three haploid polar bodies or polocytes are formed during oogenesis.

Option c is the correct answer.
