\mathrm{x}=\mathrm{n} \lambda \frac{\mathrm{D}}{\mathrm{d}}=(\mathrm{n}+1) \lambda \cdot \frac{\mathrm{D}}{\mathrm{d}}

\therefore \mathrm{n} \times 12000=(\mathrm{n}+1) \times 10000

or    \mathrm{n}=5$ and $\mathrm{x}=\mathrm{n} \lambda \frac{\mathrm{D}}{\mathrm{d}}

\therefore \mathrm{d}=\frac{\mathrm{n} \lambda \mathrm{D}}{\mathrm{x}}=\frac{5 \times 12000 \times 10^{-10} \mathrm{x} 2}{6 \times 10^{-3}} \mathrm{~m}

=2 \times 10^{-3} \mathrm{~m}=2 \mathrm{~mm}
