Applied force F= 2T

                       T=\frac{F}{2} --------------(1)

For block of mass m, force of friction due to surface is f.

For sliding the block,

\begin{aligned} T-f & =\text { force on the block } \\ & =\text { mass } \times \text { acceleration } \end{aligned}

Acceleration of block \mathrm{=\frac{T-f}{m}}

                            \mathrm{a=\left(\frac{F}{2}-f\right) / m}                   \mathrm{\therefore \left\{\begin{array}{l} T=F / 2 \\ \text { from (o) } \end{array}\right.}
