During respiration, 1 molecule of Glucose forms 2 molecules of Pyruvic acid
In Aerobic respiration, Pyruvic acid further forms Acetyl Co A and this enters Krebs Cycle. This is the link reaction.
During link reaction Pyruvic acid is converted into Acetyl CoA with the help of Pyruvate dehydrogenase complex. For this conversion Pyruvate dehydrogenase requires magnesium, CoA, NAD+, TPP and lipoic acid.
