The statement (iii) is correct because branch endings are called telocentric which establish the functional contract with another nerve cell.

The statement (iv) is incorrect because Nerve cells originate from the ectoderm.

The statement (v) is incorrect because the longest cell in the human body is the nerve cell. 

Therefore, option 2 is the correct answer.
