Mechanism of presure force theory -

Glucose prepared at source  (by photosynthesis) converts to source, which then move into the companion calls and then into living phloem sieve tube cells by active transport. This result in hypertonic condition in the phloem leading to water movement into phloem by osniosis from the adjaent xylem.
