The adrenal gland is a paired gland present at the anterior part of the kidney. Therefore it is also known as the suprarenal gland. The gland is made up of two types of tissues i.e., adrenal cortex and adrenal medulla.

Adrenal glands become super active in sympathetic conditions in which hormones dilate the pupil and increase alertness, and sweat. All these conditions are due to the release of hormones by the adrenal medulla region. The hormone responsible for this action is epinephrine or adrenaline and noradrenaline or norepinephrine. Hence, the correct answer is option 1.
