Since the sun is at very large distance, \mathrm{p=\infty}

\mathrm{ \Rightarrow \quad \frac{1}{\infty}+\frac{1}{q}=\frac{1}{f}}
\mathrm{ \Rightarrow \quad g=f}

If the diameter of the image be

\frac{\mathrm{d} / 2}{\mathrm{q}}=\propto \quad \Rightarrow \quad \mathrm{d}=(2 \alpha) \mathrm{q}
\mathrm{Putting \, 2 \alpha=\theta \: and\: q=f}

we obtain

\mathrm{D=f \theta}
\therefore \quad \mathrm{A}
