Peristalsis is controlled by a network of autonomic motor nerve fibres located in muscular layer of alimentary canal.

This network of autonomic nerve fibres is called Myenteric plexus also known as Aurbach's plexus.

It's main function is to supply motor innervation to muscularis externa of hollow organs of digestive tract in order to maintain peristalsis.

Hence option 3 is correct.
