Estradiol is a female sex hormone which plays an important role in the development of secondary sexual characterstics in female. For example, it has a role in maintaining the lining of the vagina , endometrium and fallopian tubes. However, there is no direct co-relation with the event of ovulation specifically. All the other events mentioned apart this , are involved in the ovulation phase of the menstrual cycle in human females.

So the correct option would be option (d).
