Hyoid Bone:
- The hyoid bone is situated in the wall of the upper part of the throat, just above the larynx.
- Although it is not a bone of the skull proper, it is customarily considered with that portion of the skeleton.
- It serves as a point of attachment for some of the muscles of the tongue and floor of the mouth but does not articulate with any other bones.
Facial Bones:
