2. Find the area of a quadrant of a circle whose circumference is 22 cm.

We are given the circumference of circle.

Thus,                   

                  \\2\pi r\ =\ 22\\\\r\ =\ \frac{11}{\pi}\ cm

Also, we know that the area of a sector is given by :            

                                                              Area\ =\ \frac{\Theta}{360^{\circ}}\times \pi r^2

It is a given that we need to find the area of a quadrant. Thus  \Theta\ =\ 90^{\circ}

Hence area becomes :-                          

                                                        \\=\ \frac{90}{360^{\circ}}\times \pi \left ( \frac{11}{\pi} \right )^2\\\\=\ \frac{77}{8}\ cm^2
