(a)  If AB=6cm, BC=8cm, find AC

Using Pythagoras theorem,   

                AC^2 = AB^2 + BC^2 = 6^2 + 8^2 = 100

By prime factorisation of 100 :-   2\times2\times5\times5

We get,                                   AC = 10cm
