Answers (1)

(a) The process of transpiration is demonstrated in the given activity. The loss of water in the vapor-form from the exposed parts of leaves is called transpiration.
(b) This activity will show better results on a bright sunny day because the rate of transpiration increases in the presence of strong sunlight.
(c) After a few hours, a thin layer of water vapour will be seen inside the polythene cover.
(d) The set-up required to be airtight.
