Q5. Show that if A \subsetB, then C – B \subset C – A.

Answers (1)

Given ,      A \subset B

To prove :  C – B  \subset C – A

Let, x \in C - B means    x\in C  but  x\notinB

A \subset B  so x\in C but   x\notinA      i.e.   x \in C - A

Hence,    C – B  \subset C – A
