We know,

$(x+a)(x+b)=x^2+(a+b)x+ab$

Using this formula,

$5.1\times 5.2$ = (5 + 0.1)(5 + 0.2)

Here x =5, a = 0.1, b = 0.2

$\therefore$ $5.1\times 5.2$ $=5^2+(0.1 + 0.2)5+(0.1\times0.2)$

$= 25+1.5+0.02$

= 26.52
