Kabuliwala is very beautiful story written by Ravindra Nath Tagore in 1892 . It ties a bond of mutual affection and the unconventional relationship between Mini a five year old girl and Rahmat who is a Kabuliwala. In this story we find a deep love that fathers have for their children.

Kabuliwala is a moving tale of an Afghan vendor who earns a living by selling fruits and nuts. Mini is very curious and talkative girl who wants to know everything.

He gave fruits and nuts to Mini and listened to her talk with patience and soon they both become great friends. He showered fatherly affection on Mini.

Despite his busy schedule he makes time for his little Mini.He was imprisoned for some years under a charge of physical assault. Meanwhile Mini has grown up and forgets about his friend Kabuliwala.

After ages he came back on a wedding day of Mini. He brought a gift of fruits and nuts.He has lavished all the love of a father on Mini as if she were his own little girl.

His pain of leaving his own daughter back in Kabul comes to light and he realised his daughter must have grown up too.

Thus we can say that Kabuliwala is a tale of human relationships which becomes immortal in the process.
