The term media is used for those channels of communications that are used for spreading information and messages . Media is responsible for not only synthesising news but also for broadcasting it. The term networking is used for a group of people who shares, receives and are consumers of similar information. A network is thus an interconnecting web of people  who pass on information to other people, it thus becomes a network.

Networking in today's time is very important. We cannot imagine living in an atmosphere devoid of connections and informations. Networking through social media thus keeps us connected to what is happening around us. Not only this but it also provides us with latest information of our society, state, country but also information about the entire world. It is through networking that a person sitting in one corner of the world can know about the events happening in other parts of the world.

Social networking sites such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Telegram and Instagram provides us with all  the information at our hand. People are connected more than they ever were,  through these applications. People have themselves become channels of communications. In this fast paced world, not joining and becoming part of any social media platform now means being backward. They have become today's new fads and even a fashion statements.

The number of people you know, are connected to, number of friends you have all has become a status symbol for many new generation people. Thus, networking today is a necessity and social media is providing us with the opportunity to network and meet people of various groups, castes, class, religions, states, countries and gender.
