The poem father to son is written by Elizabeth Jennings. The poem is about the anguish of a father who doesn't have a good relationship with his son. The son is grown up n busy in his life. The father is very harsh and bitter about his distance with his son and sad about the generation gap between the two. there was no understanding between the two. Father longed for a relationship with his son as he had during his childhood days. Though he tried to resolve the difference but was unable to due to the difference in understanding and the generation gap.
