Who is ramanuja, the philosopher ?

Ramanujacharya or Ramanuja was an Indian Philosopher and social reformer. He was influenced by Bhakti movement. He was an exponent of the shri Vaishnavism tradition within Hinduism. He was born in 1017 CE. Modern scholars have compared the importance of Ramanuja in Hinduism to that of scholar Thomas Aquinas.
