The tension at the middle of the rod is due to only  \mathrm{m} / 2 mass of the rod which assumed to rotate about its centre of mass.

So

T=m r w^2 \\


T=\left(\frac{m}{2}\right) w^2 \cdot\left(\frac{3 l}{4}\right)=\frac{3}{8} m w^2 l
