Solution-Organic Ion exchanger are superior to zeolites since they can remove both cations as well as anions present in hard water this resulting water is called the demineralised water and it is good as distilled water. whereas  zeolites which are kind of inorganic and exchanges have the property only to exchange cations like \mathrm{Na}^{+}  and \mathrm{Ca}^{2+}
