Briefly discuss the role of nucleolus in the cells actively involved in protein synthesis.

Nucleolus consists of DNA, RNA, and proteins. It is also called the ribosome factory. It receives and stores ribosomal proteins that are produced in the cytoplasm. These ribosomal proteins are the sites for protein synthesis in a cell.
