Hence, total possible outcomes = 52

(3) Let E be the event of getting a red face card.

Face cards: (J, Q, K) of hearts and diamonds

Hence, number of favourable outcomes = 3x2 = 6

\therefore P(E) = \frac{favourable\ outcomes}{total\ outcomes} = \frac{6}{52}

= \frac{3}{26}

Therefore, the probability of getting a red face card is  \frac{3}{26}
