By universal law of gravitation, we know that the acceleration due to gravity will be inversely proportional to the square of distance of point from the centre of earth.

F=\frac{Gm_{1}m_{2}}{r^{2}}

The surface near pole is closer to the centre of earth than the distance between the centre of the earth and the equatorial surface.

Therefore, the acceleration due to gravity will be minimum at equator.

Due to the rotation of earth, the acceleration of gravity further decreases at the surface of equator.

Hence, the correct answer to this question will be option C
