Differences between prokaryotic cell and Eukaryotic cell are
1. Prokaryotic cell size ranges from 0.5 micrometer to 100 micrometers whereas, eukaryotic cell size ranges from 10 to 150 micrometer.
2. Nucleus is absent in a prokaryotic cell. Instead in absence of a nucleus nucleoid is present. On the other hand, nucleus is present in a eukaryotic cell.
3. Prokaryotic cell contains circular DNA which is present in cytoplasm whereas, eukaryotic cell contains linear DNA which is present in a nucleus.
4. A single chromosome is present in prokaryotic cell whereas, several chromosomes are present in a eukaryotic cell.
5. No membrane-bound organelles are found in prokaryotes whereas, in eukaryotic cells several membrane-bound organelles such as the nucleus and mitochondria are found.
