Answer: The values of a  for which the function is increasing is (0,\infty )

Hint: If f(x)  is increasing if f'(x)>0 .

Given: f(x)=ax+b

Explanation: We have,

f(x)=ax+b                                           …(i)

Differentiate (i)  with respect to x

\because f(x)  is increasing.

\Rightarrow f'(x)>0

\Rightarrow a>0

So, a\epsilon (0,\infty )

Thus, the function is increasing if a\epsilon (0,\infty )
