What is galileo's law of inertia?

Answers (1)

The first law of motion is stated as:

A body at rest will remain at rest, and a body in motion will continue in motion in a straight line with a uniform speed unless it is compelled by an external force to change its state of rest or of uniform motion.

The inability of a body to change on its own its state of rest or of uniform motion is known as inertia. Since this law is about inertia, so this law is also called as galileo's law of inertia
