Define ectoparasite and endoparasite and give suitable examples.
Ectoparasite: Parasites which live on the body of hosts are called ectoparasites, e.g. leeches and ticks.
Endoparasites: Parasites which live inside the body of hosts are called endoparasites, e.g. roundworms and hookworms. They have specialised body parts such as hooks and suckers that help them to attach to the host body and take nutrition.
