If p(x)=x+3 , then p(x)+p(-x)  is equal to

(A) 3                           (B) 2x                          (C) 0                            (D) 6

Answers (1)

(D) 6

Solution:

The given equation is p(x)=x+3                ….. (1)

Put x=-x  we get

p(-x)=-x+3                                                …..(2)

Now add equation 1 and 2 we get

p(x)+p(-x)=x+3-x+3

p(x)+p(-x)=6

Hence the value of p(x)+p(-x)  is 6.
