Solution

We know that for finding the zero of a polynomial, we need to find a value of x for which the polynomial will be zero

i.e., p(x)=0

Here it is given that p(x)=2x+5

Put p(x)=0  in above equation we get

0=2x+5

-5=2x

x=-\frac{5}{2}

Hence option (B) is correct.
