An arbitrary surface encloses a dipole. What is the electric flux through this surface?

According to Gauss' law

\phi _s=\int E . dS =\frac{q}{\varepsilon _0}

where q= enclosed charge. So, +q and -q will cancel each other in a dipole and the sum of the charges will be zero.
