 a= x^{3}y^{2}\Rightarrow x\times x\times x\times y\times y
 b= xy^{3}\Rightarrow x\times y\times y\times y
For HCF, we have to take all common prime numbers from both the numbers.
Hence,
\text{HCF = }x\times y\times y= xy^{2}
\text{ HCF =}xy^{2}

Hence option B is correct.
