In triangles ABC and PQR, \angleA =\angleQ and \angleB = \angleR. Which side of \triangle PQR should be equal to side BC of \triangleABC so that the two triangles are congruent? Give a reason for your answer.

In triangles ABC and PQR

\angleA = \angleQ and \angleB = \angleR.

By congruency, corresponding angles and sides must be equal to each other in both triangles.

By the AAS criterion of congruence BC = PR.

Then \triangleABC \cong \triangleQRP

Hence, side BC should be equal to side PR.
