The comparison can be done by observing the number line. The positive integers lie to the right of zero in the number line and negative integers to the left of zero. 

(a) two negative integers: lies left of zero in the number line

(b) two positive integers: lies to the right of zero in the number line

(c) one positive and one negative integer: positive integer lies to the right of zero and negative integer lies to the left of zero in the number line.
